Have peace of mind, knowing that we offer an extensive watch manufacturer’s warranty policy.
Watch manufacturer's warranty
Stage 6 of 6
All watches made by Slonton Watch are certified to top Chinese manufacturing quality standards.
Even though we manufacture watches to last a lifetime, every watch has a two-year watch manufacturer’s warranty. We take every precaution necessary throughout the manufacturing process, and only on some rare occasions there are some anomolies.
During the warranty period, once a customer discovers that the watch is defective or malfunctioning, the watch can be sent to our facility in China to be repaired or replaced free of charge. If the watch was damaged and it has been established that the damage is a result of the customer, we will have to assess whether or not the watch can be repaired.
The warranty is valid for two years from the date of purchase and covers final manufacturing defects. However, the following cases are not covered by the warranty:
- Maintenance servicing
- Damage/defects caused by careless or unauthorized watch repairmen.
- Damage caused by accident or improper use.
- Any other damage that cannot be classified as a manufacturing defect.
- Disposal of the quartz watch battery, excluding cases where batteries are not used
Once a watch needs repair and is covered by our warranty service, please contact Slonton for the necessary instructions for service and next steps. Please understand that the cost of delivery will be borne by the customer. All other costs (such as repairs during the warranty period and return shipping after service) will be borne by Slonton.
We ask that you ask customers to participate in regular cleaning of watches, including storing the watch when not in use in a cool and dry place. Watches should be cleaned regularly, you can use a soft cloth to remove dirt and fingerprints, and sometimes use a little soap.
Here are some of our top tips to share with your customers about keeping their watch clean and sparkling:
1. Regular Wiping: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe your watch regularly. Gently remove any dirt, fingerprints, or smudges from the case, crystal, and bracelet. This simple practice prevents the accumulation of grime.
2. Soap and Water: For stainless steel and water-resistant watches, mix mild soap with warm water. Dip a soft cloth into the solution, wring it out, and clean the watch carefully. Avoid submerging the watch in water if it’s not explicitly designed for immersion.
3. Toothbrush Cleaning: For metal bracelets with intricate links, use a soft toothbrush moistened with soapy water. Gently scrub between the links to remove dirt and debris.
4. Leather Care: Leather straps require special attention. Avoid water exposure as it may damage the leather. Instead, use a slightly damp cloth to clean the strap, and then dry it immediately. Consider using a leather conditioner to keep the strap supple and prevent cracking.
5. Crystal Cleaning: If your watch crystal has smudges or fingerprints, use a microfiber cloth specifically designed for cleaning delicate surfaces. Avoid using abrasive materials that may scratch the crystal.
6. Water Resistance Checks: If your watch is water-resistant, have it checked periodically by a professional to ensure its water resistance is still intact. This helps prevent water damage to the internal components.
7. Avoid Chemicals: Keep your watch away from harsh chemicals like solvents, detergents, perfumes, and cosmetics. Chemicals can cause discoloration, corrosion, or damage to the watch’s finish.
8. Storage: When not wearing your watch, store it in a clean, dry place. Consider using a watch box or a soft pouch to protect it from dust and scratches.
9. Professional Servicing: Periodic servicing by a certified watchmaker is essential to maintain your watch’s performance and cleanliness. Professional cleaning will ensure that the watch is disassembled, cleaned, and lubricated correctly.
10. Be Mindful: Finally, be mindful of your watch’s activities. If you wear your watch during sports or other activities that may expose it to excessive dirt or sweat, clean it afterward to prevent any potential damage.
By following these tips, your customers can keep their watch looking beautiful and functioning smoothly for years to come, ensuring it remains a timeless companion on your wrist.
